Senior IT Commodity Manager has held procurement positions for 26 years, specializing for the past 19 years in multi-supplier strategic sourcing process management.  First Solar’s IT sourcing manager for 2 years, previously CONSOL Energy’s IS&T Department sourcing manager for 9 years, team leader for contract negotiations related to costs, capabilities, services, equipment and T&C’s on several fronts with First Solar’s  businesses.  Prior to First Solar and CONSOL Energy, he was employed with US Airways as Powerplant Purchasing Manager and as a Project Manager, leading teams for multiple strategic operation projects, where they outsourced aircraft, jet engine, APU, thrust reverser and landing gear overhauls for all aircrafts types.  $100’s of millions in savings and cost avoidances generated, with significant cost reductions during two bankruptcies.  Working through two bankruptcies brought enhanced perspectives on negotiation tactics.  John has traveled and worked internationally, experienced in many areas of Europe, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Kenya and Cambodia.
