Carol Philipps

Carol Philipps, C.P.M., is a senior director with Biogen’s Global Procurement Team in Cambridge, MA. She leads the company’s indirect strategic sourcing team with responsibility for over $1B in annual spend globally for categories supporting travel, information technology, human resources, legal, commercial/marketing, and other general and administrative requirements. She is a graduate of Biogen’s Women’s Leadership Program, class of 2017.

Prior to joining Biogen, she served as the lead for indirect sourcing at Raytheon Company in Waltham, MA. She was named a Raytheon Supply Chain Fellow, and previously managed the direct commodity team and played a key role in launching Raytheon’s Strategic Enterprise Aligned Commodity program.

Ms. Philipps began her Supply Chain career in manufacturing in Cleveland, Ohio, worked for Celanese Corporation in Dallas, Texas, and spent over fifteen years in Supply Chain in the banking industry at Bank of Boston/Fleet Bank. She served as a Board member for the Institute of Supply Management, Greater Boston, for over 9 years and is a former Board member of the New England Minority Supplier Development Council where she chaired the Certification Committee for several years.

Ms. Philipps earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Notre Dame College of Ohio, and a master’s degree in business administration from Simmons Graduate School of Management in Boston. She is a certified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist, holds a Lifetime C.P.M. from the Institute of Supply Management, and held Global Travel Professional certification.
