Chris Sample

Chris joined Jacobs in 2018, where he put together a Category Management team to focus on key areas of indirect spend in a post-acquisition environment.  Chris also leads several company-wide initiatives at Jacobs, including P2P transformation, and as Procurement lead for the carve-out and sale of the ECR line of business to Worley Parsons.  Prior to Jacobs, Chris was Director of Global Procurement Services at AECOM, another global engineering and technical services firm. Over ten years at AECOM, Chris was responsible for systems, reporting, analysis, training and governance, he led many sourcing projects as Sourcing and Category Manager, formed and managed the transactional purchasing function, and implemented eProcurement, sourcing and spend analysis systems. Chris worked in Procurement at Ford Motor Company, as the Commodity manager for paint and coatings.  Chris' first position at Ford was as a test engineer at Dearborn Assembly Plant, where he happily test drove brand new Mustangs as part of his duties.  He also worked on several Walt Disney feature films in the Accounting department. 

A Michigan native, Chris now lives in Littleton, Colorado with his wife Kelly and four-year-old daughter, Hannah.
